Phase 5: Publication of the finalist projects: October 15
Phase 6: In-person meeting and awards ceremony for the winning projects: November (day to be determined) in Madrid In November, on Thursday, November 14 or Friday, November 15, in the afternoon to be determined, the winning projects of the 1st edition of the InclusivEC awards will be announced, in a meeting that will be held in Madrid and will feature a round table , prior to the awards ceremony, The event will be broadcast by streaming.
Phase 7: Online meeting to share good practices and learnings between the initiatives.
Within six – twelve months, after the resolution of the competition, an online meeting will be organized to exchange all the learnings and experiences of the project and the results obtained. In addition, the impacts generated will be shared among the award-winning initiatives as well as among all participants in the first edition of the InclusivEC contest.
5- Prizes and endowment:
La Corriente will deliver, through funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No. 101036504, prizes valued at a total of 5,000 euros.
In this first edition, the prizes will have the following awards:
– A first prize of 2,500 euros
– Two second prizes of 1,000 euros each
– Three third prizes of 500 euros each
Other considerations:
to. The fees and taxes determined by current regulations will be applied to the amount contributed.
b. The organization of the InclusivEC awards reserves the right to leave any of the awards void, if it is considered appropriate and adequately justified.
6- Jury composition:
The jury, which has absolute power to decide on the winning entities, will be made up of five relevant people from the energy field who have extensive experience in supporting and/or promoting projects with a community perspective and eco-social transformation. Below is a brief biography of each of the people who make it up:
● Rosario Alcantarilla is an architect specialized in Social Habitat Management. She is responsible for the community energy area of the School of Social Economy. She is also a working partner of Diecisiete S.C.A., a cooperative consultancy for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, which helps you solve complex community challenges in areas [such as access to housing and energy] fundamental for a good, dignified and sustainable life.

● Rosa Fraga Escudero is an architect from the ETSAM/UPM. She is dedicated to project development, expertise and teaching, specializing in the energy field as a passivhaus designer.
Since 2018 she has been coordinator of the Platform for a New Energy Model.

● Soledad Montero Linares is an expert in the electricity market, and a dedicated activist for the right to energy and the fight against energy poverty, due to her desire to fight against injustice and social inequality. She currently works as a consumer technician in the Federation of Consumers and Users CECU on energy issues and as an activist in different organizations such as Px1NME and Ecologistas en Acción. She was a founding member of the La Corriente cooperative and a member of the Governing Council in its first stage. She also actively participated in the formation of Unión Renovables.

● Cristina Alonso Saavedra is an industrial engineer specialized in the electrical sector, where she has worked for more than 10 years as a consultant. She completed a master’s degree in renewable energies and another in human rights, interculturality and development. She has specialized in the relationship between energy, human rights and gender. She is currently responsible for the Climate Justice Area of Friends of the Earth and coordinates the Community Energy campaign.

7- Characteristics that will be taken into account by the InclusivEC competition team and the jury for the validation and scoring of the projects presented:
o Detailed definition of how they will designate the monetary prize, if awarded, so that its destination is oriented towards implementing actions aimed at groups in vulnerable and/or energy precarious situations.
o The social impact of the project on people who are in a situation of vulnerability and energy precariousness or on those underrepresented groups.
o Its community dimension and the concerns and initiatives of the group through good practices.
o The incorporation of Social and Solidarity Economy criteria to deepen models of economic democracy.
o The degree of innovation and originality of the project and the ability to resolve social needs around energy precariousness and groups in vulnerable situations.
o The replicability of the project: capacity of the project to be replicated in other places and/or by other agents.
o Sensitivity and awareness towards a gender perspective and the deployment of actions to guarantee the incorporation of women into the project.
o Sensitivity and awareness towards an inclusive and integrative perspective of all people, and that takes into account accessibility, and the deployment of actions to guarantee their incorporation into the project.
o The technical and economic sustainability of the project in the long term.
o The specific actions that are contemplated to be carried out, with the money received from InclusivEC if awarded.
8- Acceptance of the bases
Potential participants are informed that simply participating in the InclusivEC contest implies full acceptance of these rules as well as the decisions made by La Corriente as the organizing entity of the awards.
InclusivEC reserves the right to disqualify those projects that fail to comply with them and, especially, any project in which untrue data is recorded.
InclusivEC will make all pertinent notifications via email, and it is the responsibility of the projects presented to fill out the form with an operational email.
InclusivEC reserves the right to modify any of the points or conditions detailed in these bases, committing to duly communicate it to the participating projects.
9- Information regarding personal data
The people and projects participating in the InclusivEC awards accept the privacy policy of La Corriente Energía and are informed that this entity reserves the right to use the personal data provided to manage the draw or contest and the notification if it is the project. winner.
